The Barbican is a modern-style development built in the 1960s comprising apartment buildings ranged around interior walkways and an 'interior' lake.  The Barbican Centre also has a theatre, cinemas, restaurants, a church and local pubs.  Underground car park.  Ideal for those visiting the City and St Paul's Cathedral (10 minutes walk) but easy access to theatres, the British Library, British Museum and main shopping areas.  Two tube stations and local shops, including a supermarket, within 5 minutes walk. We have a 1 bedroom apartment in Andrewes House, within the Barbican. It is a large ground floor apartment at the level of the walkway around the lake but raised above the street below.  Beautifully decorated.  Large and light sitting/dining room with sofa bed and window overlooking the lake.  Well-equipped kitchen.  Double bedroom.  Bathroom with bath and shower.  Patio.  Garage available at extra charge.
