Cooper Close is a small street off the equally small Morley Street near the junction with Waterloo Road. Lambeth North tube station is 5 minutes away while the new Jubilee Line at The Cut is only 3 minutes walk. Waterloo tube/train station is a 10 minute walk or short bus ride (many buses on Waterloo Road). 15 minute walk (or 5 minute bus ride) across Westminster Bridge to the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Direct bus to Bloomsbury and the British Library. Small supermarket, shops, banks, pubs, restaurants and a good street market within 5/10 minute walk. Also in walking distance are the London Eye (Millenium Wheel), the National, Old Vic, Globe and Film Theatres, concert halls, the London Aquarium, many art galleries including the New Tate and many riverside pubs and restaurants.
The flat is in a small modern-style building with pleasant gardens at the rear with shrubs and permanent residents' car parking areas. First floor with lift. Double bedroom overlooking the rear gardens. Bathroom with bath with shower attachment over. Kitchen includes breakfast bar, washing machine and microwave. Sitting/dining room has sofa bed. Newly refurbished in 1999/2000.
"We got to like the area around Cooper Close ... the mixture of yuppie chic and basic neighbourhood shops is amazing ... very good transportation ... so close to the heart of the city ... thoughtful owner" (Dr Nigota, long let, 1999). |
