The cottages are in Holyport (4 miles from Windsor and 1 mile from Maidenhead) and the apartment is in Windsor town centre. Windsor and Maidenhead are west of London along the M4 but easily accessible to central London (train journey approximately 25 minutes). Holyport is a pretty conservation village with village green and pond, pubs/restaurants, shops and buses to the station, Heathrow, etc. The apartment is in a courtyard setting off Windsor High Street, close to the Castle, shops and the many pubs and restaurants in the town.
The cottages (pictured above and right) are high quality modern conversions of old buildings on an ancient farm dating from the 7th century. The interiors retain old world charm but all have central heating, excellent bathrooms and kitchens, and a spacious sitting/dining room. There is one 1 bedroom (twin or double) ground floor cottage and three two-storey 2 bedroom (one double, one twin) cottages, all furnished with antique pine and country fabrics.
The 2 bedroom apartment (pictured left) is on the second floor of a small three-storey modern-style building. Luxuriously furnished and well-equipped. Double and twin bedrooms. Bathroom with bath with shower over.
Good value, good quality with quick access into London but with a 'country' ambience. |
