The farm has been in the owner's family for six generations and lies in peaceful, unspoilt country.  Three cottages all equipped and furnished to a high standard.  The nearest village is Dalton (pub), Lockerbie and Annan are 5 miles and Dumfries 12.  Guests can use the swimming pool at a nearby hotel.  Cycle hire.  One of the main attractions here is the fishing - both the Kirkwood Beat and the Jardine Hall beat - for salmon, sea and brown trout.  The River Milk has brown trout and the River Annan has salmon and sea trout; details available.  Golf can be arranged at the many courses located in the area; details available.

Pair of cottages set in a barn conversion on a smallholding 1 mile from the town of Stranraer.  Located close to the start of the Southern Upland Way this is good walking country.  For golfers there are 4 courses within a 10 mile radius, and with a mild Gulf stream climate there are plenty of lovely gardens to visit.  The coastal resort of Stranraer has a good selection of shops, day trips to Ireland, and the scenic village of Portpatrick is just 9 miles away.

Only 6 miles from the birthplace of Robert Burns, and close to many historic places such as Culzean Castle, the cottages are about 7 miles south of Ayr -- in Lovers Lane!  The area has beautiful scenery for walking, and within 4 miles are fine sandy beaches and both sea and river fishing.  There are many golf courses, including the championship courses at Turnberry and Troon.  Both cottages are tastefully furnished and decorated, each with their own enclosed garden and private parking.
