| EDINBURGH |
| Edinburgh's history goes back to the Iron Age. Watched over by the great castle, the Old Town of pre-18th century Edinburgh huddles around the foot of Castle Rock. From here the city slowly grew along the winding ridge that now makes up the Royal Mile. To the north stands the gracious New Town of Georgian buildings, broad streets and squares. Overlooked by Calton Hill with its 'Parthenon', the city won the title 'Athens of the North'. Visit the Castle, Holyrood House (the Queen's official Scottish residence) or the Cathedral. Most popular times to visit are August (the Military Tattoo and Edinburgh Festival) and New Year (Hogmanay). Book early for these peak times! |

Superb position, right in the centre of Old Edinburgh where people have lived since Celtic times and 100 yards from St Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile. Cafes, pubs and restaurants within a few minutes. During the Festival this part of the street is closed to traffic; pipers play, jugglers and fire eaters dance, and musicians and street actors draw the crowds. The flat is in a busy tourist area - there can be evening street noise, but the three bedrooms are at the rear of the building.
Sitting/dining room overlooking the Royal Mile with three windows with built-in seating; well-equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave; a king sized double bedroom with en suite shower room/wc; a twin bedroom with one bed storing under the other if not required; a bedroom with full sized bunk beds (more suited to children/teens); bathroom/wc. Welcome grocery pack. The phone line is an open line with CC authority, also free wireless broadband internet access.
Price: from £700 per week. Please ask us for prices for the Festival, Christmas and New Year. Electricity, linen and towels included
