WALKING HOLIDAYS
Britain has some of the best walking country in the world.  Other countries may be more spectacular, but the UK has one major advantage - our country is criss-crossed by a myriad of public footpaths, as well as vast areas of countryside available to the public.
What kind of walking holiday is for you?  Strenuous 20 mile hikes in the mountains?  Or a gentle 5 mile stroll with plenty of sightseeing, a pub lunch and cosy fire to come home to in the evening?  Whichever is your kind of walking holiday, why not use a cottage as a base?  No need to carry your luggage each day!  A warm cottage to come home to and a hot bath to ease those aching muscles!  Relax at home and have a home-cooked meal or try the local pubs and restaurants.
We can offer cottages as a base for walking in the mountains, along the coast or in the countryside.  And those not wanting to join in can 'do their own thing', whether exploring the area by car or staying 'at home' with a good book or DVD.  Many cottages will do short stays in off-peak times from October to Easter, either a long weekend or a mid week break.
Pets are welcome in many cottages.  For those who do book a walking holiday we send a guide to local walks with your receipt.
